Bypass and Invitational Entry Opens

– Racers who qualify for bypass and invitational entry will be notified via email.

 

Charity Entry Opens 

– The first 200 racers who commit to raising $200 for Coös County Family Health are entered into the race

– No refunds or deferments. If you are not able to race, you must still raise the commitment level.

Random Selection Registration Opens

– We do not accept entries after the public registration period closes, no exceptions.

Random Selection Registration Closes

– Racer Selection registration closes promptly at 11:59 pm EST. Racer Selection applications will not be accepted after this time, no exceptions.

Thur – February 29, 2024 1:00 pm EST

Random Selection Winners Announced

– The participant selection will be randomly selected through an unbiased, computer-generated algorithm.

– Selected racers will be notified via email, and charged registration and administration fees.

Please Note: If your credit card information has changed (change of billing address, expired card, lost or stolen card) your card will be declined, thereby automatically excluding you from selection. Please be certain your payment information is accurate and up to date.

– Racers who are not selected will be notified via email.

– Once the Racer Selection has been made, the race field will be full and we will not accept additional applications.

– There is no appeal process if you are not selected.

Racer Packet Pick-Up (Photo ID REQUIRED)

– Pick up racer packet (race number, etc.)/prepaid race merchandise.

– Runner/driver coordination – If you are a runner needing a ride down, or if you are a driver willing to provide a ride down to additional runners, there will be an area under the tent for you to meet.

Sat – June 15, 2024 6:30-8:00 pm EST

Drivers to the Summit

– The gate closes to up-bound traffic at 8:00 am SHARP. Any drivers who did not pass the gate before it closed will have to wait until the road reopens for traffic at 1:30 PM to travel to the summit for their racer; NO EXCEPTIONS!

– Each racer receives an Auto Pass attached to their race number. They should give this to their driver.

– Drivers presenting no or only (1) Auto Pass will be denied access to the Auto Road.

– Drivers presenting (2) Auto Passes will be granted access to the Auto Road, but will be required to pay the normal fees for passage on the Auto Road.

– Drivers presenting (3) Auto Passes AND traveling in an empty car (no spectators) will receive free passage up the mountain. All others will pay the normal Auto Road fees.

– Make sure to give your driver a bag of warm clothing for you to change into upon your arrival to the summit. There is NO bag drop area at the summit.

Racer Check-in (Photo ID REQUIRED)

– Pick up racer packet (race number etc.)/prepaid race merchandise.

– Runner/driver coordination – If you are a runner needing a ride down, or if you are a driver willing to provide a ride down to additional runners, there will be an area under the tent for you to meet.

– Racers MUST have a ride down in order to participate; this is your responsibility as a racer!

Pre-Race Announcements and National Anthem

9:00 am A cannon signals the START of the Annual Delta Dental Mount Washington Road Race!
12:35 pm Official timing ends at 3 hours and 35 minutes after the start. Please do not enter if you suspect you are unable to complete the course in that time. All runners still on course past this time will be untimed as they finish.
Approx. 12:45 PM

Auto Road opens for down-bound traffic, or will remain closed until the Auto Road staff deems it safe to open. Summit cars must stay in the parking lots until released by event staff.

1:15 PM

Lunch/Awards

– Awards will begin once the event timers return to the base area, around 1:15 PM. PLEASE NOTE: Timers are the last to leave the summit.

– Racers receive their meal ticket as part of their registration; additional meals may be purchased for friends and family; adults/$25.00, Child (12 and under)/$17.00.

Auto Road plans to open to ALL traffic (including up bound vehicles), or will remain closed until the Auto Road staff deems it safe to open.
